Hours vary widely: diners and fast-food chains often stay open late or around the clock, while bakeries and cafes tend to open early and close mid-afternoon. Santa Barbara is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Santa Barbara follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I know it's been here forever, but I had never visited until last week. I know, where I have been, right?? πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ The salad bar was really great and the bread is ridiculously good. My halibut was truly excellent. My husband had the scallops and steak, he especially enjoyed the scallops. As an aside, I'm sure the rice is super popular but for both of us it was WAY too salty and overwhelming in the sauce flavor. I would have preferred plain rice or potato as it was too heavy of a flavor next to the light halibut. I do wish they would let you substitute it for something else, like a baked potato. But unfortunately, one has to pay for a whole other side. I still enjoyed my meal despite that annoyance. The server was very attentive and we had a nice experience overall!

I came down from Fresno, CA for my nephews graduation. We had a dinner reservation on the patio. Service was okay. However, upon sitting down, this other waitress assuming she was a bartender came up never asked if we had been there before and asked us if we had any drinks. My husband and I looked at each other very confused we told her no. Than she just gave us one napkin and walked away all annoyed. We looked at each other very confused, we didn’t know the process or what to expect given we had never been there before. I was expecting high hopes given the rating for this place. When we ordered dinner both my husband and I had steaks, I was very surprised there were no other side options that were mentioned other than teriyaki rice pilaf. Super disappointing with the steaks. Super tough, and the rice was very bland. Super disappointing, given the fact that our bill was almost $100. Absolutely will not be coming back.

We came for dinner to celebrate a birthday. The rice and t-bone was very flavorefull. The vegetable were excellent and they have a salad bar that you can make your own salad.

Love love love Chucks. It has that 80’s feel, from the pumpernickel bread to the leather booth seats, service is amazing. We were greeted by the friendliest beautiful lady. Our food was exceptional.

The restaurant has an elegant dining environment, but the lighting is dim, making it impossible to take good photos of the food. However, the portions are generous, and the lobster, steak, and salmon were all grilled to perfection – tender and juicy. The food was delicious and the ingredients were of high quality. Highly recommended.
